Hi Gentlemen,

I’ had found your forum this week, it is very nice.
I’m French and I have 24 years, but I didn’t speak German.
I love golf car, I have one gti MK2 with a MK3 gti 16v engine, one MK2 with a RA engine (made home with a MH car), and two Country.

The first, my favourite is white, it’s a 1P engine. It has 113000 kilometres but he need a big refection. Paint of the choc absorber, paint of the tyre, and revision of gear box.

The second is green, he has 200000 kilometres, it’s a 1P engine to, but the gear box was brake.

I have bought these country in the summer in these conditions, and I want to make on very nice, the white.
My first project it’s to put and engine diesel. But I have made a request at Volkswagen to have the authorization. No answer today.

good luck with the 2 projects.
I don´t think that you get any answer from VW because the Country normaly was built only with the 1P, some one with GTI and a few with 16V engine.
But in the forum some built in the TD and the TDI engine in the Country.

Hi, thanck for answer.

The 16 s engime was original on the country? how many cars?

Now I have the answer of VAG, the country can't exist in original with diesel engine, for them it's impossible to give one autorisation of transformation.


In this time , I was in discussion to buy a G60 syncro transmission, to put the rear brake (disque).

For the engine I look for the best compromise. Maybe a 2E (2 litres 8 v of golf 3)

Some people haved made this transformations?

Country with 16V max built up to 20 original I think.
Some guys in the forum built in:

107 PS GTI,
G60,
VR6
TD,
TDI

engines.
G60 and VR 6 with G60 G60 syncro transmission inkl. the bigger breaks
